Ochre, Sally Anderson-Barwell
Ochre, Sally Anderson-Barwell Size 40 x 30 cm Oil on Canvas
With the world in a pandemic lockdown . Images of a race with no identity emerges. It is reminiscent of all the faceless people who have suppressed others , or are suppressed, in some form or other . Be it with the marriage veil, or religious beliefs, racial discrimination or fear..the identity of freedom is vanishing
Originally from Sydney, I have spent a large part of my life living and working in the Hunter Valley. I work in oils, mainly on linen and canvas. My style has developed over 20 years of painting. Often over painting and scratching back and relaying the paint work.
